With All My Heart

Chapter 3

He was on his way down to the commissary to get a cup of coffee. A group of SFs stood talking in the corridor. They went silent as he approached, watched him walk by, then began whispering as he passed.

Uh oh. Something’s up, he thought. The members of SG-6 were just getting up from one of the tables when he entered the nearly empty commissary. "Hi, guys," he said, smiling. He and Casey had both worked with the team on numerous occasions. They looked at him, but said nothing. Uh oh. He watched them walking toward the door, then called out to Tony.

Tony stood at the door, waiting as Daniel approached him. He didn’t say anything, he merely waited.

"Tony, what’s going on around here?" Daniel asked, glancing over at the sullen faces of the rest of the team.

"You should know," was the crisp reply.

"Excuse me? If I knew, I wouldn’t be asking. What gives?"

Tony looked at his feet, at his teammates, and then back at Daniel. "What did you do to her?"

"What? Do? To whom?"

"Casey. What did you do to her?"

"What do you mean?" Daniel asked, confused.

"She never comes down to the Pit any more, she never tells jokes, hell, I don’t think I’ve seen her smile in over a week! She never talks to anybody, just a quiet hello and that’s it. What the hell did you do to her?"

Daniel was felt as if he had been sucker-punched. He thought back over the past week. He had worked late three nights, and Casey had sat quietly in his office, reading a book. She'd told him that she was too tired to go down to the Pit. He hadn’t even noticed that she wasn’t telling jokes when they signed in any longer. Good lord, she must have heard what Betsy had said, and heard his reply, and thought that he wanted…"Excuse me, Tony. I have to go get my Wife back."

He stood in the elevator, head hanging down, hands in his pockets. She had been quieter at home than usual. He'd been so wrapped up in this latest project that he hadn’t even noticed, not until he thought about it. Since it was that time of the month for her, they hadn’t made love, although he'd been the recipient of several of her incredible blowjobs. She was sleeping cuddled against him, however. Except for the night of the dance competition, that hadn’t changed...

He watched her as she took a group of Marines through one of her and Teal'c’s now famous workouts. He'd sat in on a workout before, and she peppered the routine with wisecracks and jokes. Today she was silent, except for calling out any changes. His heart plummeted as he watched. Gone were the bright eyes and wide smile. He couldn’t take anymore. "Casey Renee Jackson!" he called...loudly. He winced when he saw her cringe.

"Hi, Daniel. What’s up?" she asked. Her smile barely lifted her lips, it certainly didn’t reach her eyes.

"I want my Wife back," he said loudly.

"What?"

"I said I want my Wife back. I want that vivacious, funny, happy woman I married."

Her eyes widened. "But I thought…"

He walked over to where she stood. He glanced at the Marines who were watching them. "You guys don’t mind taking a break do you?" he asked with a smile. They all grinned and relaxed around him. He turned back to Casey. "I don’t know what you heard, or what you thought you heard," he said softly. "But know this, I love you. I love how much you love life. I love your laughter, and that wicked sense of humor of yours, and the way you light up a room when you walk into it. I love the way you talk to me, and everybody else around here. I want back the Casey that filled my life, and the lives of everybody in this mountain with sunshine and laughter."

"But…I thought-"

Daniel put a finger to her lips, smiling at the tingle it caused. "Shh. No thinking. I want you to be yourself, babe. I never want you to try and hide the light that burns so bright in you. Okay?"

Tears filled her eyes, and she nodded.

He pulled her close. "Babe, I have always loved you just the way you are. Never, ever do this to me again. The people around here just might kick my ass if you do!"

She giggled. It was the first time he had heard that melodic sound since their fight after the dance contest.

He nuzzled her neck. "When can we make love?" he asked, whispering in her ear.

"Tonight," she replied, that one word holding both an answer and a promise.

"Good." He let her go. "I love you."

Her smile lit up her face, and her beautiful green eyes. "I love you, too. Now, these Marines, on the other hand, aren’t going to love you…they most likely are going to be pissed. Their muscles have cooled down so now they get to start all over."

The room echoed with groans.

"Oh, come on," she said, her smile wide. "You guys are supposed to be tough. How tough can you be if I can beat you in simple aerobic workout? I think you’re all depending way too much on your ‘mean, lean fighting machine’ reputation. I think that you’re really just a bunch of non-hackers."

"Them’s fightin’ words, Casey!" A voice called out.

Daniel smiled as he walked toward the door. She was back. His Sunshine was back.

He had sent Casey to the store for a bottle of wine. He hadn’t told her why it was so important that she go right away. She knew that something was up. But she didn’t know what. He lit the numerous candles that she had all over the house. Took several into the bathroom, where all was in place for a warm bubble bath. The bedroom was candlelit as well, the bed turned back and ready for them, and the body lotions that he was going to use were warmed and waiting. He grinned as he undressed, wrapped a towel around his waist. He heard the jeep in the driveway, and turned on the water to fill up the bathtub.

"Daniel?"

"In here," he answered.

She walked into the bathroom, her eyes wide. "What are you doing?"

He knelt down in front of her. "I wait to serve thee, my Lady," he said softly, his head down. His eyes glanced up at her face.

Her mouth was an ‘o’ of surprise. "Why?"

He stood up. "Because I need to show you how much I love you, how precious you are to me."

"Oh, Daniel," she whispered. Her eyes were bright, her smile like sunshine.

He took the wine from her hand and sat it on the chest. He slowly began to undress her, kissing each inch of soft, creamy skin that he exposed. When she was naked, he caught her hair up and clipped it out of the way, then led her to the bathtub and helped her to step in.

He stepped away from the tub long enough to open the wine, and filled a glass for her. When he had put it within easy reach, he took a loufa sponge, and began to use it to drip the aromatic water over her shoulders and breasts. She laid back, her head on the plastic pillow that she had insisted on buying shortly after they had moved into the house, her eyes closed. Slowly…methodically…gently…he began to bathe her; his fingers working tension out of each muscle in her body. He offered her sips of the wine every few minutes, until the glass was empty.

When he was finished, he carefully rinsed her, then dried her…the towel warm and fluffy. She closed her eyes again as he worked on her body.

He led her then to the bedroom, and laid her on the bed, on her stomach. He poured body oil onto his hands, then began to knead the muscles in her back. He took his time, worked from her head to her feet, massaging each toe individually. He rolled her to her back and repeated the process, his hands slick and warm and causing flames of fire to dance within her.

"I want to touch you…taste you," she whispered.

Daniel smiled and shook his head. "Later. Right now is about you, and only you." He lowered his head to kiss her, losing himself in the taste of her mouth. He broke away from her lips, trailed tiny kisses along her jaw, around the soft skin of her neck, to that place behind her ear that made her shiver. He kissed a trail down her shoulder…to her elbow…her wrist, taking each finger into his mouth and sucking it slowly, gently; letting one hand go only to take the other and repeat the process in reverse.

"Oh, Daniel," she moaned, her body on fire from his touch.

He smiled, watching her eyes flutter shut as he began to make love to her breasts. As he had been all evening, he took his time, his hands and mouth moving over her skin as gently as the touch of a breeze. Her belly became the focus of his attention; then her hips. Her legs were privy to the same treatment her arms had received, each toe kissed in turn. By the time he worked his way back up to her hips she was panting, arching towards him.

His fingers were feather light as they caressed the moist flesh between her thighs. Honey flowed from her sweet well, and when he finally lowered his head to take her swollen nub into his mouth, she was whimpering. Again, he took his time, stopping when she was too close to her climax.

"Please…let me come…"she begged.

The words set his brain on fire. His mouth made love to her again, setting the rhythm she needed, his fingers moving inside of her.

Her cry filled the room and thrummed in his head. Her body bucked against him until the last of the spasms faded away. She sat up on the bed, her eyes full of love. "My turn," she whispered.

"You don’t have to-"

"Yes, I do. If you want to please me, then I have to please you. I can’t take pleasure unless you do, too." Her fingertips trailed down his cheek, across his lips. She leaned forward to kiss him.

Daniel stretched out beside her. His erection danced as she blew softly against the warm, taut skin. She trailed her fingers up and down his body, her lips following. When she took his throbbing flesh into her mouth, he was afraid that he was going to come right then. She knew his body as well as he knew hers, and she was able to help him maintain control.

Unable to wait any longer, she straddled him, and impaled herself on his swollen shaft. She threw her head back and moaned, riding him gently at first. She could feel her second orgasm building, and she cried out only seconds after he did, his body jerking beneath her.

She dropped onto his chest, smiled as his arms went around her. "Thank you," she whispered.

"It was a pleasure, My Star," he whispered in return.

"Next time, I get to serve you."

His body shivered at the words. "I just wanted to make sure you know how much I love you."

"Oh, Daniel, I do know. I just…when I heard what she said, I was so hurt that I wasn’t thinking."

He didn’t reply. Instead, he pulled her closer, his arms tightening around her. "I love you, Casey. With all of my heart."

"I love you, Daniel. With all of my heart."

Satiated, their hearts beating together, they slipped into blissful sleep, wrapped in one another’s arms.
