Let the Games Begin

Chapter 8

'Daniel?'

"I’m here, babe." He sat up in the bed. He had been waiting to hear from her, unable to sleep worrying about her.

'Are you alone?'

"Yep." He wondered briefly if she'd try to drive him crazy again. The thought brought a smile.

'Miss you.'

"Miss you, too, Angel."

'Love you.'

"Love you, too, my star."

'I…uh…have to go to work now.'

'Go to work'. Casey-code for pretend to sleep with him. She must have been successful in seducing the Goa’uld bastard. As if that had ever been a doubt. He didn’t know of too many men who were immune to her charms. He wondered if that bastard would see her naked, see what belonged to him. He suddenly understood exactly how she had felt about Neferteri. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling. "Be careful, babe. As soon as he’s close enough, jab him."

'That’s the plan. I’ll talk to you as soon as he’s out.'

"I’ll be waiting." And it had better not take very damned long!

Jareel had been watching the door to Casey’s room, and was beside the two women in an instant as they looked around after stepping into the corridor. "This way," he said, leading them through the empty corridors. "Selmak has requested as much information from his computers as possible. Do you have crystals?"

Sam produced a handful of the clear, jewel-like objects from her pocket. The Tok’ra led them to a small room, which had a large computer console. He and Sam began to download the contents of the computer.

'Casey? What is going on?'

She bit back a giggle. He sounded…jealous. "Sweetheart, Sam and I are with Jareel. We’re downloading from the computer."

'Oh. Ba’al?'

"Passed out and convinced that he had the time of his life." No need to tell him about the having to be naked part, she thought.

'With or without clothes?'

"Daniel!" So much for keeping that secret.

'I have to know, Case.'

She sighed. "Without. But just so you know…he’s kissed me twice, touched one breast once, and then he was off to la-la land."

There was a moment of silence. 'That’s all?'

"That’s it, my heart."

'Love you, Casey.'

"Love you, Daniel," she whispered. "More than you’ll ever know. Um…he sure isn’t a god. Couldn’t come close to you. You, my wonderful, handsome, sexy husband, would put Adonis to shame. And Ba’al ain’t no Adonis."

She 'heard' him chuckle.

"Can’t kiss worth beans either. I had to remember to respond. Unlike when you kiss me…and my body takes over and my mind goes into overload from every touch, every caress."

'Babe, I really do love you.'

She smiled. "I know. I adore you, my heart. I have to go. I’ll contact you again as soon as I can."

'I’ll be here.'

Jareel had been watching her, listening to her whisper. "Who is she talking to?"

Sam glanced over at Casey. "Her husband. He’s The Chosen. They can communicate telepathically with each other."

The Tok’ra watched her for another minute. He had heard about the battle in which Anubis had been defeated. But he hadn’t believed that the mythical ‘Chosen’ had been involved. Now he was standing in the presence of The Chosen’s wife. What history was being written even as they stood there?

The hour was nearly up. Jareel took them back to their rooms. Casey stripped and climbed carefully into the bed. Ba’al rolled over, pulled her against him. She sighed. They had better find out what he wanted soon. She couldn’t take much more of this. She may not like the Goa’uld, but she was alive and healthy, and her body was responding to the presence of a naked man. Daniel wasn’t getting out of bed for a week when she got him home.

It was taking too long. She should have had the bastard out by now. What was going on? Was she able to get the Sectonin into him? He wasn’t hurting her, was he? Oh, god, if that bastard did anything to hurt her, he’d kill him with his bare hands! Daniel couldn’t take it any longer. "Casey? What is going on?"

'Sweetheart, Sam and I are with Jareel. We’re downloading from the computer.'

She should have told him that! Why hadn’t she contacted him as soon as Ba’al was out? "Oh. Ba’al?"

'Passed out and convinced that he had the time of his life.'

"With or without clothes?" His heart was pounding as he waited for the answer.

'Daniel!'

"I have to know, Case." He had to know what had transpired, the same as Casey had demanded, needed to know about Neferteri.

He heard her sigh. 'Without. But just so you know…he’s kissed me twice, touched one breast once, and then he was off to la-la land.'

He closed his eyes. The thought of that Goa’uld bastard anywhere near her made him ill. "That’s all?"

'That’s it, my heart.'

"Love you, Casey." He had to be sure she knew. Had to make sure that when she came home, this wouldn’t be between them.

'Love you, Daniel. More than you’ll ever know. Um…he sure isn’t a god. Couldn’t come close to you. You, my wonderful, handsome, sexy husband, would put Adonis to shame. And Ba’al ain’t no Adonis.'

He couldn’t help but chuckle. When they had been alone in a valley that resembled paradise, she had called him a god. Her god. His heart was beating faster, her words soothing the worry from it, stroking his ego.

'Can’t kiss worth beans either. I had to remember to respond. Unlike when you kiss me…and my body takes over and my mind goes into overload from every touch, every caress.'

Yes! his heart cried. He needed to know that only he could touch her, reach her, please her. "Babe, I really do love you."

'I know. I adore you, my heart. I have to go. I’ll contact you again as soon as I can.'

"I’ll be here." He laid back on the pillows, a smile on his face. Take that, you snake-headed bastard, he thought gleefully.

Ba’al opened his eyes. He had never had a woman like Casey in his arms. His mind played back images of her, the feelings so intense that he was aroused again. "Are you awake, beloved?" he asked softly.

Casey was nearly asleep when she felt him harden behind her. Great, she thought. He was going to want to do it again. What if he started suspecting that something was happening if he passed out every time they…supposedly…had sex? She heard his question, kept her eyes closed, tried to keep her breathing slow and steady.

Oh, hell! His hand was on her breast. He was rolling her to her back. This was not supposed to be happening! Now his mouth was on her, sucking at her nipples, licking her skin. Her body was responding. There was no fire, and certainly no desire, at least, not in her heart or mind. His hand had moved between her thighs, and try as she might, she couldn’t help it when she felt herself become wet for him. Her fingers were desperately trying to get the ring turned so she could use it on him.

Before she knew what was happening, he had moved over her, spread her legs with his knee, and had entered her. She cried out, not from pleasure, as Ba’al believed, but from pain; a very real pain in her heart as this man touched her in a way that belonged only to Daniel.

"Yes, my beloved," he whispered.

When she tried to put her arms around him, he grabbed them, held her wrists above her head with one hand. Oh, god, did he know about the ring? ‘Daniel!’

'What’s wrong, babe?' His 'voice' was nearly as panicked as hers.

‘Oh, god, he woke up…he’s on me…I couldn’t stop him, he has my hands and I can’t get the ring against him! Please, Daniel, forgive me!’

'It’s okay babe, don’t fight him, he might hurt you. I’m on my way.'

‘I love you, only you, please believe me!’

'Shh…it’s okay, babe. It’s okay. I’ll be there in a few minutes.'

Ba’al had stopped thrusting, his body shuddered, and he collapsed on top of her. "I will make you my Consort, my Queen. We shall rule the universe together."

Tears filled her eyes, rolled down the side of her face.

The Goa’uld got off of her, pulled on his clothes. He came back to the bed, caressed her cheek with his fingers. "These are tears of joy?"

She forced a smile, turned the ring with her fingers, and pressed it against his face. He passed out, falling on top of her. She pushed him away. "Not exactly," she said out loud. "Sam? Sam get in here!"

Sam stumbled in, her eyes puffy with sleep. "What’s wrong?"

Casey looked at the man beside her, then began to sob. "Oh, god, Sam, I couldn’t get the ring against him, he held my hands above my head!"

"Oh, sweetie! Call Daniel, we’re getting out of here. We already have more than enough."

"I already did…I panicked…he’s on his way."

"Come on, Case, let’s get dressed. Can you get your clothes on?"

The young blonde nodded, pulled herself out of the bed.

'Daniel!' The scream woke him from a deep sleep

"What’s wrong, babe?" His heart was pounding, he could hear, could feel her panic.

'Oh, god, he woke up…he’s on me…I couldn’t stop him, he has my hands and I can’t get the ring against him! Please, Daniel, forgive me!'

He closed his eyes against the pain that her words brought. She was terrified, and being raped. "It’s okay babe, don’t fight him, he might hurt you. I’m on my way." He was on his feet, pulling on his clothes.

'I love you, only you, please believe me!'

His heart ached. He could hear the fear in her voice; fear that he would be angry, would turn away from her. Didn’t she know how much he loved her? "Shh…it’s okay, babe. It’s okay. I’ll be there in a few minutes." He was already on his way to the transporter rings. Shit! He turned around, headed to the armory. He found one of the SF’s on duty and sent him for Jack and Teal'c. This mission was officially over, as far as he was concerned.
