He Said, She Said

Chapter 6

"My mama told me there’d be days like this," one of the Marines muttered.

As soon as the humans began to open fire on the approaching bugs, they began to form larger, more menacing creatures. Fortunately, these larger creatures were easier to destroy. They were losing daylight, and Jack ordered that the scope lights be attached to all the weapons. The lights seemed to draw the attention of the insects, unlike their light-fearing cousins on Earth. They were still firing, the constant noise filling their ears, deafening them.

Just when they thought that the onslaught would never end, there was a sudden lack of enemy to fire upon. They began to move forward cautiously, firing on anything that moved.

"Cease fire," Jack yelled.

Weapons were lowered. Ears still ringing, it was hard to detect the sound of any movement around them.

In a sudden flash of light they were standing back in the ‘war room’ of the Asgard.

"You have succeeded, O’Neill, just as we knew you would," Thor said.

"What?" Jack asked loudly.

Thor looked at him, then at the rest of the team and the Marines. They were all rubbing or pulling at their ears. He motioned for them to follow him. He led them to the medical facilities, and saw that each of the mortal Marines were put into what looked like glass cubicles. Several Asgard doctors worked with each human until all had been treated.

The Quickening had already started to repair the damage to eardrums in the Immortal SG-1 team members, and by the time the Marines had been treated, their own hearing was back to normal.

"As I was saying earlier, O’Neill, you have succeeded, as we knew that you would."

"Yeah, well, that had more to do with the fact that Daniel is The Chosen than us, really," Jack admitted.

Thor turned to Daniel. "Then it is you that we must thank, Doctor Jackson."

Daniel blushed. "Uh, no, really, it was all of us together," he mumbled. "Team effort."

Thor continued to study the young man. "I was unaware that your…abilities…had advanced as far as they have."

"Yeah, well, it’s all new to me, too," Daniel said, still uncomfortable with the praise he was receiving.

"Obviously you are adjusting well to your position as The Chosen," Thor said.

Daniel shrugged. "I guess." He looked at Casey, who was watching him with such love in her eyes that it took his breath away. "I couldn’t have done it without Casey. She knew what to do."

Thor nodded slowly. "Yes, Lya said that the two of you possessed great power together."

Jack shifted from one foot to the other. "Look, I don’t mean to be rude, Thor, buddy, but unless there’s some other nasty predator that needs its ass kicked, do you think we could go home now?"

If it was possible for an Asgard to smile, Thor did just that. "Of course, O’Neill. Again accept our thanks. You will be notified of the date of the appreciation ceremony."

"That’s not necessary," Jack said.

"But it is the way things are done," Thor said simply. "President MacLeod will be notified."

With another flash, the team, and the Marines, found themselves standing in the ‘gate room on Gamma.

"Damn it! I hate it when he does that!" Jack growled.

Duncan hurried into the room. The team was filthy, and they looked exhausted. "Must have been a long thirty hours," he said, a smile on his face.

"Thirty hours?" Casey said, her eyes wide. "But we were only there for a day!"

Sam groaned. "I forgot about that! Their days are thirty-nine of our hours long."

"No wonder I’m so tired," Casey mused. "I feel like I could sleep for a week!"

Duncan turned to the Marines. "Head on down to the infirmary, get checked out, get something hot to eat, and then head to the barracks. I’ll tell them to expect you. You can go home after you’ve rested."

"Yes, sir," said the Marine in charge of the three teams. "Thanks, sir."

"Hey, we owe you guys," Duncan replied with a grin. "SG-1, get checked out with the doctor, then go home. Stay there for a couple of days."

"Yes, sir!" Casey said, saluting smartly.

Duncan smacked her behind with his open palm. "Don’t you salute me in that tone of voice," he said, grinning broadly.

"Bye, Duncan."

"Goodnight, Casey."

They were standing in the shower, scrubbing off the dirt and grime that covered them. Casey was washing Daniel’s back, her soft hands kneading the muscles gently.

"Keep that up and I’m going to go to sleep on my feet," he said softly.

"You’re tense, my love. You’ll sleep better if you aren’t so tense," she replied.

"I know a better way to get rid of all the tension," he grinned.

She smiled. "You do, huh?"

He turned around and pulled her against him. She could feel his arousal. "Yeah, I do." He lowered his head, his lips claiming hers.

She leaned into his embrace. "I thought you were tired," she said when she finally pulled away.

He grinned. "I said I was going to go to sleep on my feet if you kept massaging me like that," he corrected, his hands traveling her body, arousing her, teasing her.

"Uh huh. Same difference." She was stroking him now, his shaft hard and hot in her hand.

"Nope. Not at all." His fingers slid between her thighs, began to caress her gently.

She gasped when he slipped a finger inside of her, her hips thrusting toward his hand.

He lowered his face to her throat. "Like that, don’t you, babe?" he asked, between kisses, his fingers caressing, teasing her.

"Want more?"

"Tell me, Angel. Tell me what you want," he whispered, just before his mouth clamped down on the soft skin behind her ear.

She cried out softly as his mouth marked her. "Take me, Daniel, please take me!"

"Wrap around me, Angel," he instructed softly.

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, waited until she felt his hands on her ass before lifting her legs and wrapping them around his waist. She gasped as he pushed her back against the cold tile wall.

"Need a hand, babe," he whispered.

She reached down and guided him between her soft folds and into her warm, wet well.

He spread his legs slightly, planted his feet firmly on the floor and began to thrust up into her, using the wall to help hold her in place. Her fingers worked against the muscles of his back. "You feel so damn good."

"You too," she whispered. "Love the way you fill me so completely." She slid a hand between them, began to stroke herself.

"That’s it, make it good," he said, his voice breathless.

Her hips were moving towards his with each thrust, her fingers bringing her closer to her release. She lifted her chin higher as he began to kiss and nibble at her throat. She was so close!

He was moving faster, felt that familiar tightening in his balls, knew that he was about to come. "Come for me, Casey. Give it to me," he demanded, panting softly.

She was almost there, she could feel her thighs beginning to quiver. She whimpered, dropped her head forward against his shoulder as her orgasm washed over her.

That soft whimper nearly sent him over the edge, he felt the sudden hot, wetness that accompanied her release. Two…three…four more thrusts and he was coming, his body trembling as he filled her.

She would have lowered her legs, but he pushed her harder against the wall.

"Don’t move, not yet," he said softly. His face was pressed against her shoulder

She obeyed, tightened her arms and legs around his body, her thighs gripping his hips. "Aren’t I too heavy?" she whispered after several minutes.

He smiled, she could feel it against her skin. "No, babe, never."

"Any particular reason you need to hold me like this?"

"Almost lost you today, Angel," he whispered. "If Teal'c hadn’t been there, and Sam…"

"If you hadn’t made use of the Fire, there wouldn’t have been anything left for Sam or T to grab," she replied. She felt the shudder that went through his body.

"I don’t want to go on any more missions, Casey. I’m afraid we’ll push our luck too far one day. I have more than enough to keep me busy here. You can still teach aerobics at the base, still work with me. But we’re not going off-world."

"There will be times when we’ll have to go, my love."

He nodded. "I know. But I don’t want to go unless we…have to…ever again."

"We’ll go in and tell Duncan in the morning," she said softly.

He finally released her, helped her stand to her feet. They washed each other gently, tenderly, then crawled exhausted into bed.
