Redemption

Chapter 10

He was sitting on the cushions, waiting. He lit the last joint. They had already smoked two. It had been long time since he had…indulged. He watched the bedroom door, waiting for her to come out.

She opened the door slowly. She had added her navel jewelry to the outfit. She watched his eyes as he took in her appearance.

"Sweet Jesus!" he murmured. She looked like a harem slave…so beautiful and beguiling.

She knelt in front of him, lowered her head to the floor, more than ready to be his slave once again. "Thy wish is my command, Master."

"Love you, my sweet Little Slave," he said softly. He pulled her to sit beside him, offered the joint to her. She took it, inhaled, then pressed her lips to his.

"Love you, my sweet, gentle Master," she said. She slid down to rest her head on his chest. "Daniel, can I ask you something?"

"Anything, babe."

"Why? The pot I mean."

"It was part of…that…day; and you said you enjoyed it."

"What about you?"

He grinned down at her. "I’m feeling okay."

She giggled. "Me, too."

"I want to love you, Angel," he said softly.

She leaned up and kissed him. She stood up, slowly stripped the clothes from her body. The navel jewelry went on the table. She watched his eyes darken with desire when she stood naked before him. "I’m here, Daniel. Whatever you want, I’ll do for you, whatever pleases you."

He reached for her, pulled her on top of him. "Ride me, babe. Make it good for both of us."

She did as he asked, taking him slowly, gently where he wanted…needed to go.

They had made love for nearly three days and nights, in every conceivable position, and Barney had joined them at least a half dozen times. Casey lost count of the orgasms that Daniel lovingly orchestrated in her body, and he proved to her that he was quite capable of making love to her six times in a row. Eight actually. Neither of them had been able to move for an hour after that particular 'session'.

All of the hurtall of the angerall of the confusion in their hearts and minds disappeared as they held one another, and talked in between their lovemaking. Forgiveness was given and received. When they came back through the gate four days later, all the demons that had haunted them had been exorcised from their souls.

Casey was sitting in his office, going through the list of supplies for an upcoming dig. They were going to take the ‘gate to a totally new part of space. The MALP and UAV images had revealed what appeared to be the ruins of a small town. She thought about the last dig they had been on, shuddered.

"No NID witches this time, Angel," Daniel said softly from the doorway. He had a mug of coffee in each hand.

She smiled up at him. "Are you reading my mind now?"

He returned her smile, handed her a mug. "No, babe. I was thinking the same thing myself."

"I almost wish we could take the kids along. I think Emily would enjoy this." She took a sip of hot coffee and closed her eyes for a second as the caffeine entered her system. She was almost as addicted to coffee as she was to Daniel. She had confessed her addiction to him on Alteria, delighted to learn that he was as addicted to her as she was to him. She smiled as memories of those three days flashed across her mind.

He noticed the smile, wondered if she was thinking about their weekend. "Maybe we’ll go back to one of the planets we know is safe, go on a dig there."

She nodded. "That would be great. Okay, your supplies are good, but you’ll need to fill out requisition forms before we leave." She stood up and let him take the chair. She had already flagged his emails for him.

He raised an eyebrow. "Me? That’s why I have an assistant, so I don’t have to do those stupid forms."

She giggled. "Of course. How silly of me. I’ll have them done before the end of the day."

"Now that’s a good little assistant," he teased.

"Oh, you haven’t seen good yet," she purred, letting her hand slide over the desk where she had been when they had made love in here. And giggled again when it became obvious that he had an erection.

"Woman, you’re trying to kill me," he growled softly.

"Not yet. That happens later tonight." With a wicked smile she wiggled her fingers at him and sashayed out the door.

He shook his head and grinned. God, how I love that woman! He took care of the email, then reached for the files on this planet…PR3 291. He was looking forward to a simple archaeological dig. And spending time with his wife.

The Beings hovered nearby, watching as Daniel went over the images and photos from the equipment that had already gone through the ‘gate.

"When will he learn the truth about…his double?" asked the Third.

"Soon. It will not be easy for him to hear it," replied the First.

"How will this affect her?" asked the Second.

"He has fought and defeated that pain in her soul. He has changed her memories of that day. She is strong, and she loves The Chosen deeply. Her concern will be for him," said the First.

The other Beings nodded. They were certain that The Chosen, and His Chosen, would walk away from this…test…just as they had the others before it. Their love had been tested time and again, to the breaking point several times, and yet it remained, grew, became stronger than ever.

Casey walked back into the office with the forms she need. She felt a slight breeze move past her. She looked toward the corner of the room, and smiled. Good. They were still watching out for him. That set her mind at ease. She could sense that something…important…was going to happen. She glanced at Daniel. He was frowning slightly as he worked. She would be by his side, would fight beside him, fight to protect him. He was her Beloved, she could do no less.

THE END
